More About 2013 Acura RDX

2013 Acura RDX improved its engine, fuel economy and handling with new systems including all wheel drive system.

3.5 liter V6 engine is the new power of RDX in 2013. It used to have 2.3 liter four cylinder engine. Fuel economy will be more pleasing according to Acura reports. 240 horsepower was the former power of that engine but it consumed great amout of fuel, compared to competitors. V6 will produce 273 horsepower. It is expected that 20mpg city and 28 mpg highway efficiency will be the fact for front wheel drive options of 2013  Acura RDX.

All wheel drive system will be available as an option. Reduced weight and all wheel drive will cost less fuel. Handling will be easier with advanced suspension and enhanced weight reductions and balance optimization.

Exterior style will be more elegant and pleasing. Interior equipments are expected to be more technologic because it is 2013. Spacious passenger and cargo rooms, power liftage and keyless entry features will be employed in addition to three view camera.

2013 Acura RDX Pros

Great design of exterior provides a sharp look. V6 engine is the great engine choice for such car. Performance will surely be pleasing.

Cons

Although it is a future design for Acura, they intend to feature some old equipments of their old models.

Dodge offers three trim levels for this car: SXT, R/T and SRT8 392. Challenger price dramatically ascends as the equipments and performance increases in the options offered. Challenger performance are all pleasing but the great performer is SRT8 392.

I take the cheapest model as the standard in my reviews. Here, the standard is SXT. It employs followings:

SXT has a Plus package available to add several exterior equipments like foglights, auto-head-lights, leather upholstery etc. Super sport package adds performance features such as 20 inch chrome wheels, spoiler, axle ratio, performance suspension, sport paddles etc. Group II package comes with a 6.5-inch display screen, Boston Acoustic speakers and digital music storage. It adds as price adds.

Challenger R/T has additional equipments (performance upgrades are mentioned in performance sub-title). Check the SXT’s Super Sport package; R/T has all those features as standard rather than optional. R/T has package options for itself as well. Nothing is less than SXT; something is upgraded and kept as standard in R/T.

SRT8 392 is the most equipped option including all the equipments of SXT and R/T at least. It dramatically upgrades all the features and adds followings:

Again, the SXT is taken as the base model which features 3.6 liter V6 engine. It produces 305 horsepower and 268 pound feet of torque. Five speed automatic transmission is standard. Estimated fuel economy is 18 mpg in city conditions, 27 mpg in highway and 21 mpg combined.

R/T has 5.7 liter V8 engine. Six speed manual transmission is standard on R/T. Engine produces 376 horsepower and 410 pound feet of torque. Automatic transmission option slightly drops horsepower and torque to 372 and to 400. Estimated fuel economy is 16/25/19.

SRT8 392 has 6.4 liter V8 engine which produces 470 horsepower and 470 pound feet of torque. Automatic transmission of five speed is standard and six speed manual transmission is available as an option of Track Pack. Fuel consumption is estimated to be 14/22/16.

Pros & Cons

How could such a car have weaknesses? No way… So we can only mention about Pros compared to competitors and driving experiences.

Pros

Exclusive exterior styling makes this car stylish and look masculine. It is among the best sport cars ever. Comfortable and spacious cabin will please you and prove that these features deserve high prices. V6 and V8 engines offered are very strong and stable.

Cons

This car has no real weaknesses except some handling and vision inside. Handling must not be problem for expert drivers to choose such machine.

Conclusion

2012 Dodge Challenger is the best choice for you if you are looking for a quality sport coupe.

Mercedes E350 BlueTEC features 3.0 liter turbo-diesel V6 engine. This diesel engine has clean-burning technology. Emission is dramatically reduced in this model. It produces 210 horsepower and 400 pound feet of torque. These are very nice numbers for clean-burning diesel cars. E350 sedan will achieve 18 mpg city and 25 mpg highway with standard fuel but fuel economy of diesel estimates of 22 mpg city/33 mpg highway and 26 mpg combined.

Driving Impressions

2012 Mercedes-Benz E-Class is a special luxury car to drive. E350 BlueTEC are efficiency masters of the roads with pleasing performance. The balance of car will please you. If you do not have enough money, do not test drive this because it will lead your mind to get loan and buy it!

I do not know how to consider cons for a 2012 Mercedes but I will try comparing it with the competitors to find cons. Pros are richer, of course; let’s see.

Pros

You cannot find more of balance and more of handling. Potent engines are pleasing performance fans even on efficient options. Top class luxury and top class safety features make Mercedes remain on top again.

Cons

Competitors may serve better sporty styles and sporty features. This car has no real weaknesses.

The standard and less equipped trim levels’ engine for 2012 Mazda 6 is 2.5 liter four cylinder engine. It produces 170 horsepower and 167 pound feet of torque.

S models of Mazda 6 are powered by 3.7 liter v6 engine which produces 272 horsepower and 269 pound feet of torque. Models have complicating transmission options. So I suggest you to visit the site of Mazda to check full information about transmission rather than to struggle here to define.

The EPA estimates fuel economy at 21 mpg city/30 mpg highway and 24 mpg in combined driving for the four-cylinder i Sport with the five-speed manual. The Mazda 6 i models with the automatic are rated at 22/31/25 mpg and the V6-powered versions stand at 18/27/21 mpg, both of which are at the low end for this segment.

We will probably see an electric engine which is sophisticated. I don’t know if it is possible or not but they plan to build 306 horsepower with that electric engine. It changes everything in car manufacturing!

Let’s see the prices. Less equipped, standard model, Base, is priced at $57.400. Performance is for $92.400. Signature is for $95.200. Signature Performance is for $105.400. These prices are the predictions but it looks as if this is it. (pricing listed doesn’t include any government tax credits)

Tesla says the base Model S with the 40 kWh battery will accelerate from zero to 60 mph in 6.5 seconds and reach a top speed of 110 mph. With the 60 kWh battery, those numbers change to 5.9 seconds and reach 120 mph, while the Signature (the 85 kWh battery) will do zero to 60 in 5.6 seconds and reach 125 mph. The Signature Performance maximizes its 85 kWh battery, hitting 60 mph in just 4.4 seconds and topping out at 130 mph.

Pros

It will be an all-electric car. The styling promised is great. Performance and acceleration sound awesome. Seven passenger is another advantage. Prices could sound high but it is very reasonable for such features.

It would take many pages if I tried to mention about all options and all models offered. You should know that there are many optional packages to enhance your car with latest technology of BMW. I will regard 335i as the base model of my review.

Performance!

335i models employ 3.0 liter turbocharged six cylinder engine and this engine produces 300 horsepower and 300 pound feet of torque. It reaches 60 from zero in 5.4 seconds. Fuel economy estimates for the 335i sedan are an impressive 23/33/26 with the automatic and 20/30/23 with the manual. The 335is has a twin-turbocharged 3.0-liter six-cylinder good for 320 hp and 332 lb-ft of torque. There is also a temporary over-boost function that bumps max torque up to 370 lb-ft. A six-speed manual is standard, and a seven-speed automated dual-clutch manual known as DCT is optional.

Pros

It has sophisticated design to ensure excellent balance and driving experience. Engine is powerful and efficient at the same time. Styling of BMW has always been great and remains great for 2012 series.

Cons

Coupe modles and wagon models have no real weaknesses. You can complain about the lack of cargo space if you select sedan option.

Conclusion

If you are ready to pay such amounts for car, BMW is your best option as it has always been for luxury and performance fanatics. The value of BMWs never drop no matter how much time has passed. Check other BMW models because you can compare a BMW with only another BMW. No other competitors can compete!

There are three different model options, familiar to us about Chevrolet options that they always offer such options for their designs. LS, LT and LTZ are the options offered; from less to most equipped, in order.

2012 malibu has 2.4 liter four cylinder engine with 169 horsepower and 160 pound feet of torque for the standard model LS & LT. EPA fuel economy for this engine option is 22 city / 33 highway and 26 combined (mpg all).

Hold tight! 3.6 liter v6 engine of LTZ (can optionally be available on LT) delivers 252 horsepower and 251 lb-ft of torque. 17/26/20 mpg are the EPA estimated fuel economy scores for it.

Pros

Great performance for LTZ. Strong brakes and great handling of car makes a great driving ease and experience. Cabin technology is cool for drive & use.

Cons

Lacks competitive features. When you compare it with the similar priced competitors…

Conclusion

Fuel economy of this car is very normal. Performance and style can be pleasing. It so much depens on what you are looking for. You may find more efficient or mode featured cars but would you like to performance and style at the same time? Check my other reviews to see what I mean exactly.
