Auto Body
Putting time and affection into the things you care about is one of the most satisfying activities: if you are a car-owner, auto body work is a labor of love. Wear and tear is the nature of any material object, cars included. Auto body work is a direct result of the damage slowly inflicted onto your car by many different factors. Auto body work can also take many different forms-as the expression "auto body" merely means the work is being done to the "body" of the car. This can be setting up the vehicle for a new paint job, replacing a chassis, working on the engine, etc. Auto body work can be a result of something dramatic that occurred to the vehicle: collision, flooding, or even large scrapes. In general it involves bending sheet metal to make the car retain its original shape once more. Dents and holes in the car can be bent into shape or patched during auto body work so that the paint job can proceed without any obstacles.
In general, auto body work is left to professionals. This is not to say that it is impossible to carry it out alone, but auto body work requires quite expensive tools which will serve sometimes only for a couple of minutes. This means that auto body work is not the soundest of long term investments unless you own many cars or do work on them consistently. In fact, it is a smart move to leave auto body work to a shop-you will, in this way, run into no unforeseen surprises. Once your car has had auto body work done to it, give it a nice coat of fresh paint and perhaps a layer of sealer to keep it shiny. Time to parade your newly renovated car by driving it down the longest strip in town!
