The commercial vehicle of Fiat, Ducato, has become more and more attractive day by day. The 2012 model Fiat Ducato went into sale in October 2011. Power Options of 2012 Ducato
Ducato of 2012 will offer four outputs of 110, 130, 148 and 177 bhp engines. That was three power outputs previously. These also add a two engine capacities on the new model. Performance
Engine performance of the new Ducato had a significant improvement. Fiat has a Power-train Technology that is used in engines as the latest generation Multi Jet to achieve better emission and economy. This technology is used on Ducato as well which made Ducato engine capacity of 1.3 and 3 liters.
All engines have with four valves per cylinder with four cylinders in line and double overhead camshafts. The 2.3-litre engines have the latest Multi Jet II technology that employs faster injectors with a new servo valve and balanced shutter allowing them to operate at 1800 bar of pressure compared to the 1600 bar of the previous generation.
The most powerful engine option of 2012 Ducato is the 3-litre 180 Multi Jet power unit. It is the best engine performance of four cylinder diesel engine in commercial vehicle class with the max output of 177 BHP at 3500 rpm. It is %13 more powerful than the previous engine of Ducato. It has the same 400Nm of torque as its predecessor but it’s available from 1400rpm instead of 1700.
All of the engines are with the gearboxes of six speed whereas liter capacities can differ for the buyer specified 1.3 to 3 liters.
